Making something that mattered.
Titan began as an idea to bring a modern, digital experience to an overlooked sport. From the ground up, I built the product, brand, and fan experience from scratch and brought it to an international launch in under four months.
Sports x design x nfc tech
Create a new way for fans to connect with athletes through a modern, physical to digital collectible experience.
I was laid off.
I know what you’re thinking… isn’t this a case study about NFC sports cards?
YES. And getting laid off is exactly what pushed me here.
I did not want just another job. I wanted to build something meaningful that blended community, design, and storytelling. So instead of waiting for an opportunity, I created one.
DEFININING THE VISION.
As an archer and fan, I knew we needed better ways to celebrate the athletes. I wanted to:
Connect athletes and fans
Make archery feel a little cooler
Give back to the sport that shaped me
The team.
To make this happen, I brought in talented friends I trusted, people who believed in the vision as strongly as I did. Titan was built by people who truly wanted to elevate the sport and its athletes. Not all friends are pictured here (missing Abdul and Mikey). This was truly a team effort!
archery sports cards.
We set out to create trading cards because big companies never made anything like this for a sport like archery. We'd go beyond, though. The product would be both a physical card and digital experience through NFC that brought the athletes to life.
beyond just a collectible.
I mapped the experience from the moment someone tapped a card and designed a simple, fast interface that highlighted what fans would love: athlete bios, equipment, achievements, videos, and personal stories.
One of the biggest decisions was choosing web over a native app. I wanted zero friction. No downloads. Just tap and go. A web based experience let anyone access the card instantly.
The dream became a reality.
Everything was built from scratch: the brand, the concept, the design system, the athlete pages, and the NFC interactions. I tested with athletes and fans, refined the interface, and shaped the final product around what people actually used and enjoyed.
NOT YOUR AVERAGE SPORTS CARD.
Support to athletes.
Global Launch and Distribution.
Within four months, Titan launched internationally. Cards shipped to more than 30 countries, distributors in 4 continents came on board, and fans finally had a way to interact with athletes in a new and engaging way. Titan grew from a personal idea into something for the archery community.
worldwide Reception.
Immediately after launch, fans started posting their own unboxings, reactions, and collection videos. It was the first time archery had a collectible that created this kind of global excitement and engagement was organic!
What Titan Taught Me.
When I started Titan, I thought I was building something for the sport, for the fans, and for the athletes. What I did not expect was how much it would end up being for me too.
When I had lost my job, I was questioning my skills and my future. I felt like I had hit a low point.
Working on Titan changed that. It showed me what I am capable of and reminded me that I want to create work that is meaningful.
Titan was never just a product. It became proof to myself that I could build something that mattered.
